  • New on the German market: SPORTS ILLUSTRATED

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED is coming to Germany and will be released in stores for the first time on 13 December 2021. The digital launch will already take place in autumn. The print edition of SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Germany will be published four times a year with a total circulation of 100,000 copies.

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED is more than a sports magazine. It is the sports bible – with exclusive insights from authors and journalists who have direct access to the world’s biggest sports stars and bring athletes and fans together like no other brand. SPORTS ILLUSTRATED is the only multisport magazine in the premium segment on the German-speaking market. The German edition is not just about football, but it picks up on the spirit and heritage of the US edition – with topics ranging from American football and basketball to ice hockey, golf, motor sports, track & field and tennis.

Triumph and tears: nowhere are they so close together as in the world of sports. Often only a fraction of a second or a single millimetre is decisive. From the World Cup final to the Super Bowl: the big sporting events connect fans from all continents and create a collective outpouring of emotion across borders, languages and religions. Because there is no script, the top favourite can lose and the underdog can emerge victorious. After all, anything is possible in sports.
Christoph LandsgesellEditor-in-Chief of the German edition of SPORTS ILLUSTRATED

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED convinces with a clear, calm layout, innovative storytelling and high-quality photo productions that elevate the magazine to a coffee table book and collector’s item. It is the world’s most influential voice in sports journalism and turns sporting events into (cultural) history – and athletes into icons for eternity.

The German edition of SPORTS ILLUSTRATED is published by Kouneli Sports GmbH and is marketed by BCN.
