  • BCN expands marketing activities in Austria

    As of 1 August, our own BCN sales office will serve customers and agencies in Austria. Three employees will take care of our advertising clients’ needs and accelerate the acquisition of new customers. By opening an international office in Vienna, BCN is emphasising Austria’s importance as a market with extraordinary strategic relevance. Austria is already among the top three international markets, which affects revenue from the BCN portfolio for Austrian customers. The demand for strong media brands from the BCN portfolio – such as BUNTE, FOCUS, freundin and InStyle – is climbing constantly, thanks not least to a steady stream of new customers.

    BCN views the marketing of NetDocktor.at as a major growth area. After the BurdaVerlag bought the digital brands NetDoktor.at and NetDoktor.ch from NetDoktor.at Ltd (based in Vienna) at the beginning of the year, BCN also took over their marketing on 1 August, which will now be managed directly from Austria.

    With these two strategic acquisitions, the NetDoktor portal world has advanced to become the leading health platform in the DACH region and has thus become even more user-centred and has a wider reach. This has positive consequences for marketing: content is now better ranked and more visible thanks to the higher relevance of articles and the associated improvement of the user experience. Advertisers also benefit from this, as they can now reach their target group more precisely without scatter loss.

    BCN is currently active in 19 countries with its national and international portfolio of media markets and platforms, with four of its own offices and seven branch offices. As of now, BCN is also represented in Austria with its own office.
